This little church still stands in Coats.
ReplyDeleteThey walked out the front door after the
wedding, and a passerby shouted the news of Pearl Harbor to them. They gave Philip a lift
back to Ft. Jackson (Columbia) & were quarantined in the commander's best suite for their wedding night.
