Annie Way, Thelma & Pat circa 1930

This is a picture approximately taken in 1930 based on the assumption that little Thelma is around two years old and Pat is around 4 years old. The original is very small and at first I thought Pat had on glasses; however, after blowing the picture up and getting out a magnifying glass I realized Pat's face across his nose and under his eye is cut up and bruised. This may explain why Pat did not want to show his entire face for this picture.

This is a portrait of Annie Way made about the year 1980.
Notice her "Wheeler" blue eyes as my mother, Betsy, used to say as opposed to the "Wilbourne" blue eyes which were a slightly darker shade of blue.

When asked where Jerry's name came from, Lillian said her mother, Annie Way Satterwhite Wilburn, liked the name of a famous actor, Joel McCrae, so she picked it for Jerry's name.
